LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Nanoscience Inc., said its wholly owned Toumaz
Technology Ltd. has signed a new licensing agreement for an initial 1.5 million
pounds with a sports-focused business originating in the Far East to develop
Toumaz's Sensium brand globally through the sports industry.
The investor in emerging technologies for the healthcare and electronic
sectors said 500,000 pounds has just been received and the remainder will be
paid within the next six months.
Sensium measures key vital signs, including as heartbeat, body temperature,
respiration rate and physical movement on a continuous and real time basis,
which can be used by athletes and trainers, Nanoscience said.
The company said under the agreement Sensium will initially be targeted at
football and horse racing, and a development programme is currently underway. It
said Toumaz also is cultivating independent relationships in the rugby sector.
